AYRSHIRE LADIES COUNTY GOLF ASSOCIATION - Keohone takes top honours in Summer Meeting

Former County Champion, Liz Keohone (Loudoun) took the top honours at the Ayrshire Ladies County Golf Association Summer Meeting at Bonnyton Golf Club on Monday 11th July.

In glorious but very hot weather conditions, Keohone's scratch score of 81 was the best return of the 75 competitors who played.

In the Silver division, 16 handicapper Shelagh Young of Kilmarnock Barassie took the top prize with a nett 73, edging out her clubmate Jean Cunningham and County Secretary Dorothy Cree (Prestwick St. Cuthbert) by virtue of the best inward half.

In the Bronze division, Prestwick St. Nicholas member, Eleanor Watson recorded the best nett score of the competition with a 72 off her 23 handicap, edging out Jeanette Smith (Irvine) by one shot, with Kate McClelland (Loudoun) taking third place, two shots further back on 75.
