Chaired by Ayrshire Golf Association President Andrew Gilligan, the evening commenced with an excellent meal and at its conclusion an interval was followed by a prize draw organised by The Association in aid of the partner charity Ayrshire Cancer Support, which raised in excess of £1,000.

Ayrshire through to his participation in The Open and US Masters presented by the guest speaker, professional golfer and former Amateur Champion Gordon Sherry, all 6 foot 9 inches of him, whose very amusing presentation with references and engagements with two US Presidents, kept the assembled company well entertained throughout. Gordon's contribution concluded with a toast to The Ayrshire Golf Association, which was met with heartfelt applause in appreciation of his contriburtion to the enjoyment and success of the evening.
The presentation of prizes followed, beginning with awards to honour the Ayrshire players who had gained international honours during 2024, These included Freya Russell from Royal Troon who represented Scotland at girl's and women's levels and was the winner of the Scottish Girls' Order of Merit, and the Royal Troon duo of Robert jenkins and paul Moultrie who both represent Scotland at senior men's level, with Paul Moultrie also winning the Senior Men's Order of Merit for the first time in 2024.
Ayrshire enjoyed several team successes in 2024, including winning The President's Trophy in the annual fixture with the South of Scotland, while the West of Scotland Inter County Under 18 Boys and Youths teams were also present to be honoured for their wins in these two competitions in 2024.
National success was also honoured with several of the winning team in the Scottish Senior Men's Area Team Championship team being present to accept the trophy.
The winners of all the Ayrshire Golf Association competition during 2024 were also presented with their trophies before the evening culminated in a vote of thanks given by Ayrshire Golf Association Vice President Barry o'Rourke.
The evening also saw the launch of the 2025 Ayrshire Golf Association yearbook, which will be available to view on line soon, and will be distributed in booklet form to member clubs in the coming weeks.
