Ayrshire were victorious over Dumbartonshire on Sunday the 10th of July at Kilmarnock (Barassie) in their third, and final, qualifying match in the 2022 Scottish men's Area team Championship.
With both sides having won one and lost one in the qualifying section prior to the match, victory would ensure that either side would still be in with a chance of securing top spot in the table, and a place in the finals weekend in September at Powfoot GC.
Ayrshire started well with a 2 - 1 lead after the morning foursomes ties, and managed to edge a 5 - 4 win when the singles matches in the afternoon were drawn 3 - 3.
