AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Third round line up confirmed

All second round matches in the 2022 Ayrshire Champion of Champions Trophy competition have now been played, and the third round line up confirmed.

Gordon Jess (North Beach) received a walkover from Bert Ross (New Cumnock) in their second round tie, whilst single hole victories for Del Chamberlain (Troon St Meddans), away to Robert Adams (Abbotsford), and Robert Cruickshanks (Moorpark), at home to David Hughes (Ayr Seafield) were enough to book their places in the last sixteen.

Emphatic home wins by Aidan Long (Prestwick Centre) and Sandy Buchanan (Prestwick St Nicholas), by 6&5 and 7&5 over Andrew Carroll (Drongan) and David Pratt (Annanhill) respectively, booked their places in the third round, whilst the holder Steven McEwan (Caprington) edged through at the first extra hole in his away tie against Malcolm Nicolson (Skelmorlie).
