Kilmarnock
(Barassie) retained the Ayrshire Boys Team Championship title at Irvine Ravenspark
GC on Sunday 17th April 2016, represented by the same team that won
the championship 12 months ago over the Ayr Seafield course.

Ayr
Belleisle made the early pace, setting a scratch team target of 245 which was
bettered only by two other teams.

| Prestwick Circuits Troophy Winner Lewis Caddell |
Led
by a superb two over par score of 73 by Lewis Caddell, which was the best individual
scratch score of the day and won him the Prestwick Circuits Trophy, the
Kilmarnock (Barassie) team of Caddell, Robbie Muir, Ewan Milligan and Fraser
Rigby posted a team total of 230 to retain the title by a margin of six shots
from Turnberry.

The
best individual nett score, winning the Carrick Trophy, was posted by 16
handicapper Lewis MacMillan (Ballochmyle) whose nett 71 came out on top of a
group of five players on that score, by virtue of the better inward half.
Other
individual handicap prizes went to Robbie Muir (Kilmarnock Barassie &
Kieran Beauchanp (Turnberry), also with nett 71’s.
At
the conclusion of play, the trophies and vouchers were awarded to the successful
competitors and teams by Ayrshire Golf Association President James McMurdo.
