SCOTTISH WOMANS AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - West Kilbride to host national championship in May

West Kilbride GC will be the venue for the 2016 Scottish Womans Amateur Championship, from 31st May to 4th June.

The championship was last played over the West Kilbride links in 1997 when Stirling's Alison Rose won the title.

The last time the championship was held in Ayrshire was in 2014 when Connie Jaffrey of The Ladies Club, Troon was beaten in the final and her clubmate Emma Hale won the Clark Rosebowl.

With the close proximity of the championship this year, it is hoped that there will be a strong representation of Ayrshire players in the field
