AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Draws published for 2016 events

The draws have been made for the 2016 Ayrshire Junior Golf League competitions, which will be played throughout the summer months and culminate in finals at Kilmarnock (Barassie) in September.
In the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, defending champions Ayr Belleisle have been drawn in Section 1, alongside newcomers Trump Turnberry, Irvine, West Kilbride, Troon Welbeck and Irvine Ravenspark.
Section 2 involves Loudoun, Ballochmyle, Kilmarnock (Barassie) and local rivals from Prestwick, St Cuthbert and St Nicholas.
The winners of each section will meet in the final.
In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY competition there are five first round matches, which are scheduled for completion by 5th June.
The matches in the opening round are :-
Troon Welbeck Vs Caprington
Irvine Ravenspark Vs Trump Turnberry
Kilmarnock (Barassie) Vs Prestwick St Nicholas
Ballochmyle Vs Ardeer
Ayr Belleisle Vs Prestwick St Cuthbert
Clubs who have a bye into round 2 are West Kilbride, Loudoun & Irvine
In the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition, there are 7 first round matches, all scheduled to be completed by 5th June, whilst Loudoun received a bye into round 2.

A new DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE has been introduced this year, to allow clubs to give younger players experience of match play golf. Though there will be no score recording in the Development leagues, the clubs taking part will contest three sections :-

Section 1 – Ballochmyle, West Kilbride, Prestwick St Cuthbert, Ardeer
Section 2 - Irvine Ravenspark, Loudoun, Kilmarnock (Barassie), Troon Welbeck
Section 3 - Prestwick St Nicholas, Ayr Belleisle, Irvine, Caprington
