BRITISH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP - Wilson is Ayrshire's one remaining hope

David Wilson
David Wilson (Troon Welbeck) is the only one of the three Ayrshire players in the 2012 British Boys Championship, being played at Notts and Coxmoor this week, who retains a hope of qualifying for the matchplay stages.

It appears that some second rounds were not completed on Wednesday, leaving the qualification position in some doubt, although all three Ayrshire players have completed their second qualifying rounds.

with the top 64 players and ties qualifying for the matchplay stages, David Wilson presently lies in joint 60th place on 151, seven over par, after rounds of 74 & 77.

Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) is tied in 177th place and out of the reconing after rounds of 79 & 80 for a 159 total, fifteen over par.

Likewise, the tournament is at an end for Callum Beveridge (Troon Welbeck) who is tied 257th on 172, twenty eight over par, following rounds of 87 and 85.
