DOC THOM AYRSHIRE ORDER OF MERIT - All to play for in final qualifier of 2024

There is everything to play for in the final qualifying event in the 2024 Ayrshire Order of Merit, for the Doc Thom Salver, when the last event of the season, the rescheduled Ballochmyle Rosebowl, takes place at Ballochmyle on Saturday the 5th of October.

Ayrshire Men's Strokeplay Champion Gavin Chesney (Kilbirnie Place) remains in the lead, but is less than thirty points ahead of  harvey broadfoot (Troon Welbeck).

Though the destination of the title is a straight shoot out between Gavin and Harvey the third place in the final table is still in the hands of one of four players, with Alan McLean (Largs), Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle), Graeme Gimson (Prestwick St Cuthbert), and Harvey McDonald (Turnberry) all still in with a chance of securing third place overall.

AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Jack Broadfoot regains title

Jack Broadfoot (Royal Troon) has regained the Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit title that he last won in 2022 after the final qualifying event was completed recently.

Scott Newman (West Kilbride) took maximum points in the final event, the Irvine Junior Open, to move up to third place overall, just behind Quintin Dunlop (Turnberry) in second place.

CLUB AND MEMBERSHIP RETURNS - Annual update forms circulated to clubs

The annual Ayrshire Golf Association subscription and club update forms have been sent by email to club secretaries on Monday the 30th of September. 

The information requested on the form will determing the club per capita subscription levelt to The Ayrshire Golf Association for the 2024-25 period, and will also ensure that club contact details are kept up to date.
