AYRSHIRE SENIORS LEAGUE - Largs boost membership numbers for 2017

The membership of the Ayrshire Seniors League will be boosted for the 2017 season, with Largs GC joining the competition next year.

The inclusion of Largs brings the membership of the Seniors League to thirteen clubs, alongside Ballochmyle, Prestwick St. Nicholas, Kilbirnie Place, Irvine Ravenspark, Ardeer, Troon Portland, Troon Welbeck, Troon St. Meddans, Loudoun, Kilmarnock Barassie, West Kilbride and Prestwick St. Cuthbert.

Clubs are represented in the competition by teams of 10 players, aged 55 years or over with a handicap of 24 or less, with matches played on a home or away basis on midweek dates during the playing season. 

The competition format is five fourball matches, played on a handicap basis.
