WEST OF SCOTLAND INTER COUNTY LEAGUES - Ayrshire suffer double defeat to Lanarkshire

Ayrshire suffered a double defeat to Lanarkshire on Sunday 11th October in the penultimate weekend of the 2015 West Of Scotland Inter County leagues, the A team losing their 100% record at Lanark whilst the Youths title hopes were dealt a severe blow when they lost out at Brunstton Castle.

The A team travelled to Lanark on the back of three successive wins, but despite Jack McDonald and Steven Wallace winning two of the opening three ties, single hole defeats suffered by Tommy McInally and Stuart Robin ultimately proved decisive as the team went down narrowly by 4 1/2 - 3 1/2.

The youths team faced a very strong Lanarkshire team at Brunston Castle. Jordan Fraser kept up his good form in the series with another win but with three ties finishing all square after eighteen holes, the home side eventually went down by 5.5 - 2.5.

In the final series of matches next Sunday, 18th October, Ayrshire take on  Renfrewshire with the A team away at Bonnyton and the Youths team at home at Ayr Belleisle
