Following his win in the Disabled British Open earlier this year, Alasdair Berry (Irvine Ravenspark) has been invited to take part in the national final of the Seve Day competition, which takes place at The belfry on Sunday 28th October.

The Seve Day final at The Belfry is tthe culmination of a season long event, with the finalists having the chance to follow in the footsteps of Seve and many other golfing legends as well as winning a trip to the US Masters.

From all the scores submitted over the season, the top 72 have been invited to attend the celebrity packed grand final at The Belfry, to compete for the top prize of a trip to the 2013 US Masters.

The finalists will be teeing up on the legendary Brabazon Course, which has played host to a record four Ryder Cups, and where Seve famously drove the green at the 10th in 1985 as the European team recorded their first ever win.

All finalists will be invited to a welcome breakfast before taking to the course, and at the end of the day a gala dinner will be held to announce the winner of Seve Day 2012.

Overnight accommodation at The Belfry is also included for all finalists in what promises to be a fantastic event to honour Seve Ballesteros and his legacy.

Following the one-year anniversary of the legendary Spaniard's death, a European-wide tournament has been set-up by YourGolfTravel.com in partnership with the Seve Ballesteros Foundation and Cancer Research UK to raise funds for both charities.

Celebrities such as Harry Redknapp Ian Wright, Kevin Keegan, Sir Clive Woodward, Michael Vaughan and Chris Eubank will be taking part in the event.

Organiser Ross Marshall added: 'Seve Day is a great way for us to celebrate the life of Seve, raise money for a great cause and play in a tournament where you have to take risks and play like the great man himself in order to shoot low and qualify for the grand Seve Day final.

A host of top golf stars have also pledged their support with Justin Rose and Ian Poulter both signing up to Seve Day.

Rose said: 'Seve has been a hero to me all my life. Seve's style of play continues to inspire me, and golfers all over the world, but there will never be another Seve.'
