WINNING STUDENTS - McDonald to benefit from scholarship funding

Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) is one of nine Scottish based golf students selected for a national sports scholarship in 2011 - 2012.


Scotland Boys International McDonald joins other future Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth hopeful student athletes, numbering more than 120, studying in colleges and universities across the country who will receive funding support from "Winning Students" during the 2011-12 academic year.

"Winning Students" provides scholarships up to £5,500 each year, which students can put towards sporting costs and academic-related expenses. The programme also ensures the student receives the necessary academic flexibility enabling them to perform in both their sport and their studies.
