Arrangements are in hand to finalise the dates of the 2011 Doc Thom Ayrshire Order Of Merit counting events for the forthcoming season.

It is anticipated, subject to approval of the clubs concerned, that the counting events last year will form the basis of the counting events for 2011. These events are :-

THE AYRSHIRE STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
THE AYRSHIRE MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
THE HILLHOUSE CUP (Royal Troon)
THE SCOTTISH STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
THE BELLEISLE CUP (Ayr Belleisle)
THE LOUDOUN OPEN (Loudoun Gowf Club)
THE AYR SEAFIELD OPEN (Ayr Seafield)
THE BALLOCHMYLE OPEN (Ballochmyle)
THE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
THE MCGILCHRIST CUP (Ardeer)
THE SCOTTISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
THE VIKING KRUS (Largs)
THE WELBECK LINKS (Troon Welbeck)
THE ARROL CUP (Prestwick St Nicholas)

Other clubs in Ayrshire are invited to nominate their open competitions for consideration as counting events in the Doc Thom Ayrshire Order Of Merit.

To be considered, the club open competition must have a minimum of two scratch prizes available and must be open to all clubs affilliated to The Ayrshire Golf Association.

If accepted as a counting event, the organising clubs only commitment is to provide score details of the players returning the best seven scratch scores in the event to the AGA Secretary as soon as possible after the event.

Any club wishing to have ther event considered for inclusion as an additional counting event should forward details to the AGA Secretary, Alasdair Malcolm, at ayrshiregolf@fsmail.net
