JONES CUP - McEwan selected in Scotland squad to travel to USA


Steven McEwan (Caprington) - pictured right - has been named in a five strong squad who will represent Scotland at one of the USA's biggest amateur events next month, the Jones Cup.

Along with Ross Kellett (Colville Park), David law (Hazlehead), James White (Lundin) and Philip McLean (Peterhead), McEwan will travel to Sea Island in Georgia for the 54 hole event which takes place over the Ocean Forest course from 4th to 7th February.

Some of the world’s leading amateurs will take part in the event, which was first played in 2001, including world number two and reigning European Individual Champion Victor Dubuisson.

World number four Peter Uihlein will be the top ranked American in the field with England’s Walker Cup player Stiggy Hodgson also in the line-up.
