All four qualifying sections in the 2009 Ayrshire Summer league are under way, with a number of results being posted recently.
In LEAGUE 1, the only result still forthcoming is a 3.5 - 2.5 away win by Ballochmyle over Ayr Belleisle.
In LEAGUE 2, Troon St. Meddans opened their bid for the title with a 4.5 - 1.5 home win over Ardeer whilst Loudoun also began with a home win, by 5 - 1 against West Kilbride.
LEAGUE 3 is headed by Irvine after a 6 - 0 home win over Annanhill, with Kilbirnie Place close behind following a 4.5 - 1.5 home win over Irvine Ravenspark.
In LEAGUE 4, Beith followed their opening 6 - 0 win over Kilmarnock (Barassie) with a 4.5 - 1.5 win away from home over Tam O Shanter.
LEAGUE 5 looks to be very close with home wins by all three clubs so far. Troon Welbeck had a 4.5 - 1.5 win over Largs whilst New Cumnock beat Troon Welbeck by 3.5 - 2.5 and Largs defeated new Cumnock by 5.5 - 0.5.
