AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE Convenors Outing - Ayrshire Golf Association team win Silver Jubilee Trophy

The annual A.J.G.L. Convenors outing took place at Brunston Castle on Sunday 22 August when 14 pairings contested the Silver Jubilee Trophy. Six Honorary members took part, including 82 year old Sam Coulter of Maybole.

The Ayr Belleisle team of Allan Thomson and Andy Brown put up a stout defence of the trophy, just being edged into third place, by virtue of the better inward half stableford scores, by Ardeer, on 65 points.

The trophy however was won comfortably by the Ayrshire Golf Association team of IAN WALKER and IAN GUTHRIE, with a team total of 75 points.

MAGIC 2's - Ian Walker (8th), Allan Thomson (8th)

Nearest the hole - 5th hole - Bill White (Largs Routenburn)
Nearest the hole - 8th hole - Ricky magee (A.G.A.)
Nearest the hole - 17th hole - Iain Harvey (Honorary Member)

Individual Runner up - Ian Guthrie (A.G.A) - 36 pts
Individual winner - Ian Walker (A.G.A.) - 39 pts

Team Runners Up - ARDEER (Brian Farrelly & James Conlan) - 65 pts (bih)
Winning Team - AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION - (Ian Walker & Ian Guthrie) - 75 pts
