EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - mixed results on final day.

Scotland lost 2.5 – 4.5 to England in the third place play-off  for the European Mens team Championship on Saturday 12 July at Linna in Finland.

Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) and his partner james Ross were heavily defeated by 7 & 6 as Scotland lost both foursomes ties.

In the Boys European Championships, Scotland beat England  by 4 - 3 to take third place overall in Oslo in Norway.

In the Womans European Team Championship, the frustration with Scotland’s failure to qualify for the top flight at Ljubljana in Slovenia was heightened when they recorded their third straight win in flight B, hammering Austria by 5 0- 0 in their final match of the series.

Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies) won her tie by 3 & 2.

Finally, in the European Girls Team Championship at Skalica in Slovakia scotland went down 3 – 2 to the Czech Republic in their final match of the series.
