EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - Semi final defeats for men and boys whilst women and girls record wins in B flight matches

Scotland lost out to Spain in the semi finals of the Mens European Team Championship on Friday 11 July in Linna in Finland.

The Scots were always up against it when they lost the two foursomes

 

Ayrshire’s Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) lost his foursomes tie at the first extra hole.

ENGLAND 2 IRELAND 5

In the Boys European Team Championship in Oslo in Norway, Scotland lost at the 20th hole in the deciding tie with Sweden in their semi final match.

Sweden play Italy in the final, who beat England by 5 – 2 in their semi final.

In the Womans European Chjampionships, Scotland had another win in their second Flight B match Scotland won by 4.5 – 0.5 in Ljubljana in Slovenia.

Ayrshire’s Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies) halved her tie.

In the European Girls Team Championship, Scotland had a second successive B Flight win on Friday, beatibng Belgium 3 – 2.

Ayrshire’s Hazel McGarvie (Troon Ladies) won her tie by 2 & 1.
