AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Title chase hots up as Girvan confirm Division 4 title win

The chase for the Ayrshire Scratch League titles are hotting up  as Girvan secured their second successive title this week, following their Division 5 win last season with triumph in Division 4 in 2012.

In DIVISION 1, Irvine moved to the top of the table on tie difference over near neighbours Irvine Ravenspark following a 4 - 2 win at Ballochmyle in their latest match.Ballochmyle rounded of their season with a 6 - 0 win over Troon Welbeck at Ballochmyle, although this was not enough to avoid relegation back to Division 2 for the 2013 season.

Only three matches remain to be played in Division 1 with four of the six teams still in with a chance of taking the title.

Irvine have one remaining fixture away to Kilmarnock Barassie whilst Loudoun face an away trip to Troon Welbeck and a home match against Irvine Ravenspark.

In DIVISION 4, Girvan have securesd the title in style with a 5 - 1 home win over Turnbery and a 6 - 0 away win at Moorpark in their latest matches. Ayr Dalmilling and Moorpark both boosted their hopes of avoiding the drop to Division 5 with 4.5 - 1.5 home wins over Maybole and Ayr dalmilling respectively in recent outings.
