AYRSHIRE MEN'S HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Quarter final line up to be confirmed soon.

Confirmation of the quarter finalists in the 2024 Ayrshire Men’s handicap league Championship will be finalised this week, with six of the eight teams already know.

In LEAGUE 1, Alton won the showdown with Troon Portland in the final game of the section to secure a place in the last eight, winning their final home fixture by 3.5 – 2.5.

 Golf South Ayrshire took the quarter final place from LEAGUE 2. Final placings in league 2 were:-

 In LEAGUE 3, Wallacetown beat Ardeer by 4-2 and in the penultimate game in the league, Ayr Seafield kept their hopes alive when they beat their visitors from Troon St Meddans by the same score. The final game in the league, between Troon St Meddans and Ardeer, is due to be played on the 14^th of July, with Troon St Meddans only needing a draw at home to Ardeer to secure the quarter final place.

In the final LEAGUE 4 fixture Moorpark beat their visitors from Ballochmyle by 4.5 – 1.5 to complete their successful campaign.

 In LEAGUE 5, Caprington beat Prestwick St Cuthbert 6 – 0 to boost their qualifying section hopes.

The final match in the section sees Caprington and Redburn locking horns on the 12^th of July with Redburn just needing a drawn match to progress.

In LEAGUE 6, the final two matches were 5 – 1 home wins to Prestwick St Nicholas against Kilbirnie Place and Kilbirnie Place v Largs, the latter result confirming Kilbirnie Place in the quarter finals of the 2024 championship.
