SCOTTISH MEN'S AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - Ayrshire open 2024 title bid at Rothesay

For the second year in a row, the Ayrshire Golf Association six man team will open their bid for the Scottish Men's Area team Championship at Rothesay Golf Club against their hosts from Argyll & Bute.

This year's championship fixtures start on Sunday the 5th of May with three foursomes in the morning and six singles in the afternoon and Ayrshire, who lost out in the final of the championship to Lothians at Paisley Golf Club last year, will be hoping to better the draw they secured in the opening fixture last season.

Ayrshire's hope at Rothesay lie with Joh n Shanks (Irvine), Blair Morton (Royal Troon), Harvey Broadfoot (Royal Troon), George Robertson (Irvine), Steven Stamper (Turnberry) and Aidan Long (Ayr Belleisle).

Ayrshire's other two fixtures in the qualifying sections are both at home, against Glasgow in June and Clackmannanshire in July.
