Playing in the first group out in the morning, Audrey Thompson carded a scratch 79 in fine, but breezy conditions which made the course play very testing, which ultimately gave her the title by a single shot from Jennifer Linklater (Largs) who carded an 80.

Liz Keohone (Loudoun) and Catherine Malcolm (Prestwick St Cuthbert) took the other two scratch prizes.

In the handicap category, it was the youngsters from Ayrshire that were very much to the fore, with 13 year old Orla Moran carding a best of the day nett 70, off her 14 handicap, to capture the trophy by a single shot ahead of 11 year old, 31 handicapper, Jennifer Doyle (Turnberry).

Tammi Grady (Irvine) another 13 year old, playing off a handicap of 20, took the third nett prize with a 74, whilst the final nett prize went to Lynsie Bulloch (Irvine) with a 75 by virtue of the better inward half, off her 14 handicap.

Two nearest the hole prizes, at the 8th and 16th holes, were won by Catherine Malcolm and Audrey Thompson respectively.
