The Ayrshire six man team for the final 2023 Scottish Men's Area Team Championship qualifying match, against the North Area at Moray on Sunday the 9th of July, has been announced.
The selection sees county team debuts in the event for Aidan Long (Ayr Belleisle) and Calum Nairn (Prestwick St Cuthbert), following some impressive recent performances by both players, who will be joined in the team by Champion of Champions title holder Blair Morton (Royal Troon) and former winner Steven McEwan (Caprington) along with fellow county team regulars John Haggarty (Loudoun) and Steven Stamper (Turnberry)
A win for Ayrshire in their final fixture of the qualifying section would ensure qualification for the final weekend at Paisley GC in September.
