AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Qualifiers for the knockout stages confirmed

The six qualifying sections in the 2022 Ayrshire Handicap League Championship were concluded on Sunday the 17^th of July, with the eight qualifiers for the knockout stages being confirmed.

In SECTION A, Portmann won their final two matches against Tam O Shanter by 4.5 – 1.5 at home and 4 – 2 away, to push their opponents into second place in the section, whilst Ayr Belleisle beat Royal Troon by 4.5 – 1.5 in their final fixture, to finish just above their opponents in the final table.

In SECTION B, Moorpark beat Alton by 5 – 1 in their final fixture, to progress to the knockout stages as section winners, The other outstanding results saw Alton beat Prestwick St Nicholas by 3.5 – 2.5, Auchenharvie 88 beat Prestwick St Nicholas by 4.5 – 1.5, whilst Kilbirnie conceded their final fixture to Alton

In SECTION C, Ardeer finished second behind Irvine Ravenspark, their final two away fixtures being draws by 3 – 3 at Troon St Meddans and West Kilbride, with their final home match being a 4.5 – 1.5 win over Troon St Meddans.

In SECTION E, Rowallan Castle had a 3 - 3 draw in their final fixture at home, to progress to the knockout stages, whilst Troon Portland  closed with a 4.5 – 1.5 win.
