AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Loudoun are thefirst club to confirm place in the knockout stages

Loudoun are the first club to confirm their place in the quarter final stage of the 2021 Ayrshire Handicap League Championship, following recent matches in all seven qualifying sections being played.


In SECTION A, Moorpark lead the way following a recent 6 – 0 home win over West Kilbride.

In SECTION B, Ardeer hold a slender lead with three matches remaining to be played in the section.

Ayr Dalmilling had a narrow 3.5 – 2.5 defeat at Ardeer and a 3 – 3 draw at Rowallan Castle in their latest two fixtures, and with the three remaining fixtures in the section being Ayr Dalmilling’s three home fixtures, they will hold the key as to who will win the section.

In SECTION C, Loudoun became the first club to ensure their place in the knockout stages after successive 4 – 2 home wins over Ayr Belleisle and Portmann ensured they would finish in first place in the section. With only the fixture between Portmann and Ayr Belleisle to be played, the present positions in Section C are:-

In SECTION D, Auchenharvie 88 hold the advantage at present, though there remains everything to play for. A 5.5 – 0.5 home win over Caprington put Auchenharvie 88 clear at the top whilst Annahill and Caprington remain in contention following a 3 – 3 draw at Caprington, though Annanhill’s hopes were dented following a 5 – 1 defeat at home to Stewarton.
