THE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - Ruben Lindsay bows out in first round of matchplay

Turnberry's Ruben Lindsay bowed out of the Amateur Championship at Nairn on Wednesday the 16th of June when he lost out in the first round of the matchplay stages.

Ayrshire's only qualifier for the latter stages, he was up against Englishman Callan Barrow from Royal Lytham & St Annes, but lost out by 4 & 3 to exit the championship.

The championship continues throughout the week, culminating in the 36 hole final on Saturday.
