EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Three Ayrshire players named in European Championship teams for Scotland

Ayrshire golfers feature in all three Scotland teams announced today by Scottish Golf for the forthcoming European team Championships.

African Amateur Champion and runner up in the recent Amateur Championship and European Mens Championship, Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie), is in the six strong mens squad who will contest the European Amateur Team Championship at Ljunghusen Golf Club in Sweden from the 9th to the 13th July.

The full mens team is:-

Ryan Lumsden, Royal Wimbledon

Euan McIntosh, Turnhouse

Sandy Scott, Nairn 

Jamie Stewart, Old Course Ranfurly

Euan Walker, Kilmarnock Barassie

James Wilson, Balmore

Fresh from her unbeaten performance for GB & I in the recent Vagliano Trophy matches, Hazel McGarvie (Royal Troon) is one of the six players named in the squad for the European Ladies Team Championship at Molas Golf Club in Italy, also from the 9th to the 13th of July.

Completing the Ayrshire representation is Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) who is one of the six players named in the Scotland Boys’ team who will contest the European Boys Team Championship at Toya Golf and Country Club in Wroclaw, Poland from the 10th to the 13th of July.
