Jack Broun
(Ayr Belleisle) was the best placed of the 25 strong Scottish contingent in the
Welsh Open Youths Championship , played at Wenvoe Castle Golf Club on 2nd
and 3rd of June.
Rounds of
75, 68, 71 & 75 gave Broun a final score of 289, one over par, securing sixth
place overall behind the winner from England, Ryan Dixon, on 282, 6 under par.
Ayrshire’s
other player in the field, Cameron Johnstone (Troon Welbeck) missed the halfway
cut by a single shot.
