SCOTTISH SENIORS MENS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - Thomson best from Ayrshire at irvine

Henry Thomson - leading the Ayrshire challenge

Henry Thomson of the host club leads the Ayrshire challenge after round one of the 2018 Scottish Senior Mens Open Championship which is being held from 20^th to 22^nd June over the Bogside course of Irvine Golf Club.

Thomson finished tied third on 73, one over par, which left him three shots adrift of first round leader Ian Brotherston (Dumfries & County).

David Brown (Irvine Ravenspark) is the next best placed Ayrshire player in the field in joint fourteenth place after a three over par opening round of 75.
