AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE - All four sections remain close

All four sections in the Ayrshire handicap League competition remain close afteer the latest series of results were recorded.

In SECTION A, Troon St Meddans and Stewarton are locked together at the top of the table. St Meddans had a 6 – 0 win in their last game, at home to Loudoun, whilst Stewarton had mixed fortunes in recent home games, beating Royal Troon 4.5 – 1.5 but losing out by 4 – 2 to Ballochmyle.

In SECTION B, a 4 – 2 home win over Moorpark took Beith into joint top spot with Irvine Ravenspark, with the North Ayrshire club having a game in hand.

In SECTION C, Preswick St Cuthbert kept their hopes of progressing alive with a 3 – 3 draw away to Braehead.

In SECTION D, a 4.5 – 1.5 home win over Tam O Shanter and a 4 – 2 win away to Annanhill moved Ayr Dalmilling into top spot.

Prestwick St Nicholas maintained their perfect start to the season with a 4 – 2 home win over Tam O Shanter giving them their third successive win in the competition.

Kilbirnie Place maintained their hopes with a 6 – 0 home win over Tam O Shanter.
