SENIORS GOLF - David Miller best from Ayrshire at South Of Scotland Open

Nine Ayrshire players competed at Southerness in the South Of Scotland Seniors Open on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th July 2016, with weather from  all 4 seasons  being experienced.

CSS for the 2 days were 74 and 73 and the winner, with a superb aggregate of 137, was new Scottish Seniors Golfing Society member Stewart Henderson of Hamilton G.C. who was playing in his first SSGS event .

Best from Ayrshire at Southerness

The leading Ayrshire player, tying for 19th place, was David Miller of Kilmarnock Barassie with a score of 152.

157 - Brian Bingham ( Royal Troon )
158 - Tom Sirel ( Largs)
166 - Campbell Devlin ( Turnberry), Donnie Lindsay (Kilmarnock Barassie)
167 - Billy Wallace (Prestwick St Cuthbert)
170 - Keith Ross ( Beith )
N/R - Eddie Boyd ( West Kilbride)

The next Scottish Seniors Golfing Society event is the Super Seniors Championship at Strathmore G.C. on 4th & 5th August, with the Autumn Meeting at Nairn Dunbar at the end of August being the final event of the season prior to the Spanish Festival in October.
