AYRSHIRE BOYS MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP - Euan Ferguson takes 2016 title at Prestwick

Euan Ferguson (Turnberry) beat clubmate Kyle Brown in the final of the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship on Thursday 11th August.

At a wet and windy Prestwick GC, both players coped remarkable well with the weather conditions but by the fifteenth Ferguson, with level par figures for the round, was dormie three and a half at the sixteenth gave Ferguson the title with a 3 & 2 win.

Prestwick GC Captain, Dr Paul Stevens, presented vouchers to both finalists at the conclusion of the match and handed the trophy and commemorative medal over the the 2016 winner, Euan Ferguson.
