AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Injury forces title holder to withdraw from defence

Ayrshire Champion Of Champions title holder Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) has been forced by injury to withdraw from his title defence bid this year.

Moultrie took part in the Scottish Champion Of Champions at Leven last week but aggravated a recently sustained injury, forcing him to withdraw after the opening round.

With full recovery now likely to need a period of rest, Moultrie has elected to withdraw from the 2016 Champion Of Champions competition.

Ricky Tait (The Chase), Moultrie's scheduled opponent in round two, will now progress to the next round with a walkover.
