HILLHOUSE CUP - Johnston battles the weather to win trophy at Royal Troon

James Johnston (Ayr Belleisle) came out on top as many of Ayrshire's leading players battled the elements at Royal Troon on Sunday 17th May in the annual competition for The Hillhouse Cup.

With wind and rain throughout the day, scoring was so difficult that the CSS rose to 78 reduction only.

Johnston's performance in the conditions was admirable, returning a scratch score of 75 to win the trophy by four strokes from his nearest challenger.
