SCOTTISH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP - Seven Ayrshire players through to round two

A total of seven Ayrshire based players are through to round two of the Scottish Boys Championship, being played this week at Dunbar.

The remaining delayed first round matches were concluded on Tuesday afternoon.

Cameron Pettigrew (Largs) went out by 3 & 2 to Greg Cressford (Lundin) whilst Ross McDonald (Irvine) lost out at the first extra hole to Lewis Black (Bruntsfield Links).

Robbie Muir (Kilmarnock Barassie) became the seventh Ayrshire player through to round two when he defeated David McCann (Kingsknowe) by 6 & 5. Muir now faces Callum Allison (Bathgate) in round two.

The Ayrshire based players into round two are :-

Luke Murdoch (Loudoun)
Ewen Milligan (Kilmarnock Barassie)
Jack Thomas (Irvine)
Charlie Cameron (Ayr Belleisle)
Sean Cook (Kilmarnock Barassie)
Callum McLean (Kilmarnock Barassie)
Robbie Muir (Kilmarnock Barassie)

Also through to round two is Hamish Mills (Cardross), who is also a member at Largs

The second and third round matches are scheduled to be completed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
