AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Irvine title celebrations put on hold.

Irvine's hopes of securing the 2014 Ayrshire Scratch league Division 1 title in their final home match of the season were dashed on Sunday 7th September when their visitors, Troon Welbeck, held the home side to a 3 - 3 draw.

The result leaves defending champions Loudoun still with a chance of beating Irvine to the Division 1 crown, depending on the results of their own two remaining matches.

Loudoun have two home matches remaining, against Troon Welbeck and Irvine and need to win both by a considerable margin if they are to retain their title for a third successive season.

At the foot of the table, Troon Welbeck will be looking for a result at Loudoun and also face a crunch match against fellow relegation candidates Ballochmyle.
