Cameron Johnstone
Troon Welbeck's Cameron Johnstone, age 10, has ended a successful season on a high by winning the U10's scratch stroke play at the Stephen Gallacher Foundation Finals day at Kingsfield on Sunday October 6th.
On the day, a strong field of 51 boys and girls competed in the U14 category with Cameron finishing in overall 3rd place with a score of 38, 3 shots behind the U14 winner and as the highest placed U10 he picked up gold medal for the 2nd year in a row after winning the finals day last year.
The win completes a successful season for Cameron in the Stephen Gallacher Foundation as he also won the U10 stroke play order of merit and finished 3rd in the U14 order of merit with consistent performances throughout the season, including one win and four  top 3 finishes in the older age category.
Cameron, who now plays off a handicap of 13, is looking forward to competing in the Stephen Gallacher Foundation next year as it continues to grow from strength to strength, providing kids of all ages with a platform to play golf in both a fun and competitive environment.
