AYRSHIRE'S WEE WONDER - Ruben qualifies for national final at St Andrews

Ruben Lindsay of Ayr Belleisle has qualified for the final of the Wee Wonders championship at St Andrews after winning his age group section in the recent qualifying event at North Berwick, on 8th June.

Following his good showing in the European championships recently, 9 year old Ruben continued his good form by winning the North Berwick qualifying event.

 

Ruben scored an impressive 1 under par 26 on the short but tricky par 3 kids course, winning by 3 shots from his nearest challenger in the age 9-10 years category, and recording the best score of the day overall.

 

The Wee Wonders championship is the main British event for kids up to 12 years old, and Ruben is looking forward to the Grand Final, to be played over 36 holes in St Andrews on 24 and 25 August 2013.
