SGU AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Ayrshire team announced

The six man team who will represent Ayrshire in the 2010 SGU Area Team Championship has been announced.



The Area Team Championship, which Ayrshire won in 2008, will be played under a new format this year, on 15th and 16th May at Kinross, with Strokeplay qualifying on the Saturday and semi final and final matches on the Sunday.

Scottish internationalist Steven McEwan (Caprington) and 2009 Strokeplay Champion John Shanks (Irvine) remain from the title winning team of 2008.


The duo are joined in the team by boys internationalist and Scottish Boys Strokeplay Champion Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie), 2009 Ayrshire Matchplay winner Scott Brown (Turnberry), 2008 Ayrshire Matchplay winner Steven Murray (Troon Welbeck) and 2009 Scottish Amateur Championship quarter finalist Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie).


The team will be managed again by Past Presidents Ronnie Potts (Irvine Ravenspark) and Ricky Magee (Caprington)
