SCOTTISH YOUTHS CHAMPIONSHIP - Brown & McDonald still in contention at halfway stage

Despite a disappointing 77 in round 2, Scott Brown (Turnberry) - far right - along with Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) - near right - are still in contention at the halfway stage of the 2010 Scottish Youths Championship, being played this weekend at Monifieth.

German Maximilian Rottluff leads the way on level par after a superb 66 in round 2.

147 - Graeme Duncan (Kingsknowe) 76 - 71, Daniel Kaye (Dunbar) 75 - 72, Michael Daily (Erskine) 73 - 74, Fraser Thain (West Linton) 72 - 75

Marc Smith (Troon Welbeck) also made the cut, on 151 (74 - 77).

The other two Ayrshire players in the field, Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Malcolm Pennycott (Whiting Bay) both missed the cut at 152 with scores of 155 (79 - 76) and 171 (85 - 86) respectively.
