SCOTTISH BOYS AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Ayrshire team announced for Peebles event

The Ayrshire team for the forthcoming Scottish Area Boys Team Championship, being held at Peebles on Sunday 6th June, has been announced.

Scottish Boys Strokeplay Champion Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) will be joined by clubmate Euan Walker, the 2009 West Of Scotland Boys Matchplay Champion, as well as the Troon Welbeck duo of Marc Smith and David Wilson who were both members of the Troon Welbeck team who sucessfully defended the Ayrshire Boys Team Championship title last month.

In the strokeplay event the team will play foursomes in the morning and singles in the afternoon, and will be hoping to better the Ayrshire sides 2009 performance when they were edged into second place by the Northern Counties, by virtue of the fourth score in the singles.

The Scottish Golf Union has announced that Dunfermline Building Society will become the Official Partner of the Scottish Boys Area Team Championship.

Dunfermline Building Society has been in partnership with the Scottish Golf Union since 2007 and previously sponsored the Junior Masters and Scottish Junior Club of the Year Awards.
