AYRSHIRE SUMMER LEAGUE - Loudoun take advantage into second leg of final
The first leg of the 2009 Ayrshire Summer League final took place at Loudoun on Sunday 20th September with LOUDOUN at home to IRVINE.
I fine weather and with the course looking in excellent condition, Tommy McInally lead the Loudoun side in their bid for the Summer League title in the club's Centenary year.
McInally played the captain's part securing the first point for his side with a 3 & 1 win over Colin Craig to inspire his team to a 4.5 - 1.5 victory in the match.
The individual match results were:-
Tommy McInally beat Colin Craig by 3 & 1
Scott Gilchrist lost to Gordon Dunlop by 5 & 4
Sammy Cox halved with Keith Fairley
Chris Bone beat Mark Anderson by 4 & 3
Gavin Wilson beat Stephen Spence by 5 & 4
Paul Kennedy beat Gareth Lamb by 2 & 1
LOUDOUN 4.5 IRVINE 1.5
The return leg of the final will be played at Irvine Golf Club on Sunday 4th October 2009 with a 9.30 a.m. tee off.
