AYRSHIRE SUMMER LEAGUE - all to play for at half way stage

As the four qualifying sections of the 2009 Ayrshire Summer league reach the halfway stage, there is still all to play for with all four sections proving competitive and close.

In LEAGUE 1, Ballochmyle retain the lead with three wins from three but are being challenged by Ayr Belleisle after a recent 6 - 0 win by the Ayr club over Caprington.
Present points are :- Ballochmyle 12, Belleisle 8, Caprington 4, St. Cuthbert 0

In LEAGUE 2, St Meddans & Loudoun lead the way after the Troon club had a 4 - 2 home win over Loudoun recently. Ardeer maintained their hopes with a 4 - 2 home win over West Kilbride. Presentl points are :- Loudoun 8, St. Meddans 8, Ardeer 4, West Kilbride 4

In LEAGUE 3, Beith regained the lead with a 4.5 - 1.5 home win over Tam O Shanter recently. In their final match at tam O Shanter, Kilmarnock Barassie will require a 6 - 0 win to match beith's points and tie difference and force a play off. Present points are :- Beith 12, Kilmarnock Barassie 8, Tam o Shanter 0.

In LEAGUE 4, Largs and Troon Welbeck lead after a recent 3 - 3 draw betwen the teams at Largs. new cumnock hold the key to this section with an away match at Welbeck and a home match against Largs still to play. Present points are :- Largs 6, Troon Welb eck 6, New Cumnock 4.
