AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Brown & Pennycott neck and neck at top

With the results of the Caprington Boys Open still to be added, and with seven further counting events to be completed, only five points separate Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie), pictured right, and Malcolm Pennycott (Whiting Bay), pictured below, at the top of the Ayrshire Junior Order Of Merit table.

A win at Ardeer and second at Troon Welbeck boosted Pennycott's position whilst his win at the Ayrshire Boys Championship let Brown overtake Michael Stewart at the top of the table.

In third place at present is Scott Brown (Turnberry), pictured right, courtesy of his win at Kilmarnock Barassie and good placings at both Troon Welbeck and Ardeer.

Andrew Wright (Kilmarnock Barassie), pictured below, also moved well up the table after his win at Troon Welbeck, whilst top placing for Adam Foley (Ayr Belleisle) at Prestwick St. Nicholas boosted his chances of a top seven finish again this year.

Leading totals are :-

395 - EUAN BROWN (Kilmarnock Barassie)
390 - MALCOLM PENNYCOTT (Whiting Bay)
295 - SCOTT BROWN (Turnberry)
