AYRSHIRE SUMMER LEAGUE - Irvine through to semi finals

As the qualifying sections in the 2007 Ayrshire Summer League near completion, Irvine (Bogside) have secured their place in the semi final line up.

In recent matches in LEAGUE 1, Loudoun and Belleisle both had narrow but crucial 3.5 - 2.5 wins away to tam O Shanter, whilst Troon Welbeck kept in the hunt with a 5 - 1 win at home to Loudoun.

With only two matches remaining, the present positins are :-

TROON WELBECK - played 5 - 12 pts (+7)
LOUDOUN - played 5 - 12 pts (+3)
AYR BELLEISLE - played 5 - 10 pts (-4)
TAM O SHANTER - played 5 - 6 pts

In the final matches, Troon Welbeck travel to play Ayr Belleisle whilst Loudoun host Tam O Shanter.

In LEAGUE 2, a 3 - 3 draw at West Kilbride secured the semi final place for Irvine. In the other match played recently, Kilmarnock (Barassie) had a 4 - 2 away win at Caprington.

Present positions, with two matches remaining, are :-

IRVINE (Bogside) - played 5 - 16 pts
WEST KILBRIDE - played 5 - 10 pts (-2)
KILMARNOCK (BARASSIE) - played 5 - 10 pts (-3)
CAPRINGTON - played 5 - 4 pts

In LEAGUE 3, Ardeer conceded their match to Moorpark, resulting in Ardeer's chances of a semi final place being dashed.

Present positions are :-

BALLOCHMYLE - played 3 - 8 pts
MOORPARK - played 3 - 6 pts
ARDEER - played 4 - 6 pts

The one match remaining will be a decider for the semi final place when Ballochmyle play host to Moorpark, with the home side, and defending champions, needing only a draw to progress to the last four.

In LEAGUE 4, a 3.5 - 2.5 home win over Troon St. Meddans was enough to put New Cumnock into pole position.
