Brian Moore (Largs) is the first player into the last four in the 2006 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions competition.
Over the Largs course, former professional Moore had a emphatic 9 & 7 victory over an out of sorts Tommy Loy (Ballochmyle) to reach the semi finals.
The three remaining quarter final matches, due to be completed by 23 July are :-
John Shanks (Ardeer) V Henry Thomson (Irvine)
Colin Craig (Welbeck) V Malcolm Pennycott (Corrie)
&
Warren Blair (St. Meddans) V Chris Harkins (Belleisle)
The semi finals will be held over the old course at Royal Troon on Friday 4 August, with the final scheduled for tyhe same venue the following Friday, 11 August.
