Opening rounds of 71 and 70 saw him paired in the final pairing in the last round alongside runaway championship winner, Englad's Sam Marshall (St Neotts).
A final level par round of 70 gave Newman a one over par total of 211 for the 54 hole tournament, which was only bettered by Marshall, on nine under par, and Samuel Johnston (Astbury), who finished with a three under par round of 67 to edge a couple of shots ahead of Newman.
An excellent performance in an international championship from Scott Newman.
