AYRSHIRE MEN'S CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY - Only one third round result awaited as quarter finals approach

The result of only one of the third round matches in the 2024 Ayrshire Men's Champion of Champions Trophy competition has still to be posted, as the quarter final stage of the competition approaches.

Due to injury David Pratt (Annanhill) had to withdraw from the competition, giving Calum Nairn (North Beach) a bye into the quarter final where he will be at home to either Jason Butler (Troon St Mededans) or John Shanks (Irvine).

In the quarter finals Alan Smeeton (Tam O Shanter) will be at home to Steven McEwan (Caprington), following McEwan's single hole win away against William Fleming (Ballochmyle).

Michael Main (Largs) had a 3&2 win on his visit to play John R Anderson (Skelmorlie) in their third round tie and will now visit Andrew Marshall (Prestwick St Nicholas) in the last eight.

The remaining third round tie is due to be completed by Sunday the 30th of June.
