AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Ardeer secure Division 3 play off spot with last match win.

Ardeer have secured their place in the Division 3 title play off against Troon St Meddans, following victory in their final league match this week.

At home to Troon Welbeck in their final fixture, Ardeer won by 5.5 - 0.5 to finish joint top with Girvan on 18 points, which crucially left them with a tie difference of +9 against +6 for Girvan over the sectional matches, which ultimately gave them a place in the championship play off.

Due to a delay in the final fixture of the section being played, the play off matches, home and away, will now be completed by the 31st of August.

The winner will win the Division 3 title and gain promotion to Division 2 next year, while the losers of the championship play off will go on to the division 2/3 promotion play off match against the second bottom team in Division 2.

 In DIVISION 1, Kilmarnock Barassie moved to second in the table with a 4.5-1.5 home win over Irvine in their latest fixture.
